Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our team and the chef leading the class. We will begin with an introduction to Peruvian cuisine, widely recognized as one of the most diverse and celebrated culinary traditions in the world. You will learn about some of the most important ingredients used in Peruvian cooking and discover the history behind the dishes you will prepare during the experience.
11:30 a.m. | Pisco Sour Workshop
The experience continues with the preparation of Peru’s most famous cocktail, the Pisco Sour. You will learn about the origins of pisco, the ingredients required to make the cocktail, and the techniques used to achieve the perfect balance of flavor, aroma, and texture. You will then prepare your own Pisco Sour under the guidance of the instructor.
12:00 p.m. | Peruvian Cooking Class
It is time to put on your apron and start cooking. Guided step by step by a professional chef, you will prepare one of Peru’s most iconic dishes: ceviche. You will learn how to select the right ingredients, prepare the famous leche de tigre, and achieve the balance of flavors that defines this world-famous dish. Depending on the selected program, the class may also include the preparation of additional traditional Peruvian recipes.
1:00 p.m. | Tasting Session
Once the cooking portion is complete, you will enjoy a tasting of the dishes prepared during the class. This is the perfect opportunity to share the experience with fellow participants, exchange impressions, and enjoy the authentic flavors of Peru that you helped create.
2:00 p.m. | End of the Experience
After the tasting, the activity concludes. You will have the opportunity to ask additional questions and receive recommendations from the chef about restaurants, local dishes, and other culinary experiences to enjoy during your stay in Lima.
