Why Choose This Tour
Most visitors to Lake Titicaca take day trips, which often provide only a brief glimpse into the lives, traditions, and culture of the local communities.
This experience allows you to spend a night on Amantaní Island, share time with a local host family, and discover a way of life that has remained largely unchanged for centuries.
Beyond the landscapes and sightseeing, this tour offers a genuine connection with Andean culture and the people who call the lake home.
Spending the night on an island in Lake Titicaca also allows you to experience unforgettable sunsets, sunrises, and star-filled skies that simply cannot be appreciated during a conventional day tour.
What Makes This Experience Special
What makes this journey unique is the opportunity to experience Lake Titicaca from a completely different perspective.
Rather than simply visiting the islands, you'll become part of daily life within the communities that live there.
You'll share meals prepared by your host family, learn about local traditions, participate in cultural activities, and gain insight into everyday life on one of the lake's most important islands.
The hike to the ceremonial temples of Amantaní at sunset often becomes one of the most memorable moments of the trip thanks to the panoramic views of Lake Titicaca and Bolivia's Royal Mountain Range.
Best Time to Travel
Lake Titicaca can be visited throughout the year.
From April through October, visitors generally enjoy clear skies, excellent panoramic views, and more stable weather conditions.
During the rainy season, from November through March, the landscapes become greener and the lake displays different shades of blue, creating equally stunning photography opportunities.
Because of the altitude, nights remain cold year-round.
