Your experience begins with pick-up from your hotel in Miraflores, San Isidro, or other pre-arranged locations. From there, we will head toward Lima’s Historic Center to begin our exploration of Peru’s capital city.
9:30 a.m. | Lima Historic Center
Upon arrival, we will visit Lima’s Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During this guided tour, you will learn about the history of the city founded by Francisco Pizarro and walk through some of its most traditional streets, surrounded by colonial and republican architecture.
10:00 a.m. | Plaza Mayor of Lima
We will continue to Plaza Mayor, considered the historic heart of the city. Here you will admire important landmarks such as the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, Lima City Hall, and Lima Cathedral while your guide shares stories and events that shaped the history of Peru.
10:45 a.m. | San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs
Next, we will visit the famous San Francisco Monastery, renowned for its impressive colonial architecture and valuable historical collections. You will then explore Lima’s Catacombs, one of the city’s most visited attractions and an important legacy from the colonial era.
11:45 a.m. | San Isidro District
We will then continue to San Isidro, one of Lima’s most elegant and modern districts. Here, we will make a brief stop at El Olivar Park, a beautiful urban oasis featuring hundreds of olive trees that were originally brought to Peru during the colonial period.
12:15 p.m. | Miraflores and Costa Verde
Our next stop is Miraflores, where we will visit the famous Love Park (Parque del Amor) and some of the main viewpoints overlooking the Costa Verde coastline. From here, you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, one of Lima’s most iconic landscapes.
12:45 p.m. | Photo Stop and Panoramic Drive
You will have time to take photos, enjoy the coastal scenery, and learn more about modern life in Lima while we drive through some of the most representative avenues and neighborhoods of Miraflores.
1:00 p.m. | Return to Your Hotel
We conclude the tour with transportation back to your hotel or a central location in Miraflores. Arrival is expected around 1:00 p.m., depending on traffic conditions and the pace of the group.
