Why Choose This Tour
Many travelers visit Colca Canyon on a one-day excursion, but that often means spending long hours on the road and very little time actually enjoying the valley.
This 2-day program allows you to experience Colca at a much more relaxed pace, with time to appreciate the landscapes, explore traditional villages, and enjoy activities such as the hot springs without feeling rushed.
By spending the night in the valley, you'll also be closer to Condor Cross for the early morning visit, which usually offers the best conditions for observing these magnificent birds soaring above the canyon.
The combination of volcanic scenery, local culture, Andean wildlife, and one of the deepest canyons in the world makes this one of the most complete experiences in southern Peru.
What Makes This Experience Special
Colca Canyon is much more than a spectacular landscape. It is a region where Andean traditions remain alive, where farmers continue to cultivate ancient agricultural terraces built centuries ago, and where nature dominates every corner of the scenery.
During the journey, you'll observe wild vicuñas, cross high Andean passes above 4,800 meters (15,750 feet), visit traditional villages, and enjoy some of the most impressive landscapes in the Andes.
One of the most anticipated moments of the trip is the visit to Condor Cross, where you'll have the opportunity to witness the flight of the Andean condor as it rides the thermal air currents rising from the canyon.
It is an experience that combines gentle adventure, extraordinary scenery, and a deep connection with Andean culture.
Best Time to Travel
Colca Canyon can be visited year-round.
From April to November, during the dry season, visitors typically enjoy clear skies, excellent panoramic views, and ideal conditions for condor watching.
From December to March, during the rainy season, the landscapes become greener and the agricultural terraces display a different kind of beauty. Although occasional rain is possible, tours continue to operate normally.
