Day 1 / Arrival Cusco and City tour in the afternoon
Your adventure begins as soon as you land in Cusco. Our friendly representative will be waiting for you at the airport, holding a sign with our logo and your name, then we will take you to your hotel.
We will start the tour from Plaza de Armas, the heart of the city surrounded by historic landmarks like the Cathedral and the Church of the Society of Jesus. After exploring the square, embark on a walking tour through Cusco’s top attractions, including the 12-angled Stone, San Blas, and Loreto Street, immersing yourself in the city’s rich history and culture.
Next, visit Coricancha, the Temple of the Sun, once the Inca Empire’s most important temple, adorned with gold and precious stones. The Spanish later built the Church of Santo Domingo atop its foundations, blending Inca and Colonial architecture. The second half of the tour takes you to the impressive Inca sites surrounding Cusco. Start with Sacsayhuaman, a colossal fortress of precisely fitted stones, followed by Qenqo’s mysterious underground chambers, Puka Pukara’s military fortress, and Tambomachay’s intricate water features. Conclude your journey at Cristo Blanco.

Day 2 / Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
Today we will explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the drive, we will see picturesque landscapes with farmlands and snowcapped mountains. Our first stop is at Alpaca Farm, a farm with llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos where we can learn the Inca weaving process and you can get fine garments. Then we continue to the archaeological sites of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. In Pisac, there is a hands and crafts market where you can get fine artwork and textiles. Lunch is in Urubamba town. After exploring the Inca site of Ollantaytambo you will take the train to Aguas Calientes, and after 1 hour and a half of travel we will pick you up and take you to your hotel.

Day 3 / Machu Picchu guided visit and return to Cusco
We will take a bus to the mountaintop where Machu Picchu is located, a scenic 40-minute journey. Upon arrival, enjoy a comprehensive guided tour of the ancient citadel, lasting approximately two and a half hours. During the tour, you’ll explore remarkable Inca temples dedicated to the sun, moon, stars, lightning, rainbow, puma, condor, serpent, and other natural elements, as well as sacred fountains and ceremonial sites.
After the guided tour, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Please ensure you are ready at least 30 minutes before your train’s departure time. You’ll disembark at Ollantaytambo station, where our team will be waiting to drive you back to Cusco.

Day 4 / Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and drive for 3 hours to the trailhead, where your local chef will serve a picnic breakfast with amazing views of the Vilcanota Mountain range. After breakfast, start a 2-hour hike to the top of Rainbow Mountain. The walk is challenging due to its high altitude (5,000m-16,000ft), but it's totally worth it once there. The Red Valley is just meters from Rainbow Mountain; you can reach the iron-rich soil landscapes after enjoying it. Then, you will continue to hike down to the trailhead, where your trekking chef will be waiting with a fresh picnic lunch prepared with local products. After the tour, we take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 5 / Cusco to Tambopata Rainforest: Welcome!
We will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to Cusco Airport.
Arriving in Puerto Maldonado, you’ll take a one-hour drive and then a peaceful boat ride along the Tambopata River, enjoying your first taste of Amazonian cuisine en route. Upon reaching the riverbank, a staircase and short rainforest walk will lead you to Refugio Amazonas, a charming ecolodge nestled in a chestnut forest.
This eco-lodge features a bar, massage room, and dining area, and is the hub of the Wired Amazon citizen science program, where guests can join research activities like AmazonCam or Discovering New Species. Your spacious room includes mosquito nets, a private bathroom, and a forest-view window.
In the afternoon, climb the 35-meter Canopy Tower for breathtaking views and birdwatching. Before dinner, enjoy a night talk by researchers, followed by a forest outing to search for new species under the guidance of scientists.

Day 6 / Macaw Clay Lick and Amazon Farm
Begin your day early with a visit to the Macaw Clay Lick, one of the Amazon's most impressive wildlife spectacles. On clear mornings, dozens of large macaws and hundreds of parrots gather on the riverbank, creating a vibrant display of color and sound. Observe discreetly as Green-winged, Scarlet, and Blue-and-gold Macaws, along with smaller parrots, descend to ingest clay, most active at dawn.
In the afternoon, you can participate in the AmazonCam activity. Set up camera traps along the trail to the Amazon farm, capturing images of elusive wildlife and contributing to important research on animal populations and behaviors.
