Responsible Trekking and Travel S.A.C.

Tourism must be established as a driver of comprehensive development and social well-being. Consequently, we promote a safe and protective environment for children and adolescents. At Responsible Trekking and Travel S.A.C., we categorically reject and adopt a zero-tolerance policy toward any action that facilitates, promotes, or tolerates the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA) within our value chain.

1. Nature of the Problem

ESNNA represents a serious violation of fundamental human rights. It consists of the use of minors in activities of a sexual nature in exchange for financial, material, or any other form of benefit. It is a criminal act severely punished by Peruvian law that undermines the holistic development and dignity of the victims.

2. Preventive Action and Institutional Alignment

In strict coordination with the guidelines of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), our agency is committed to raising awareness among travelers, employees, and the local community regarding the magnitude of this problem. We implement operational protocols aimed at preventing and eradicating these practices, ensuring that our expeditions and tours are not exploited for illicit purposes.

3. Shared Responsibility and Reporting Channels

Protecting vulnerable populations requires the active participation of the entire society. We urge our clients and strategic partners to remain vigilant and uncompromising. In the event of any suspicion or evidence of irregular situations involving minors, it is imperative to immediately report them to the appropriate authorities. To ensure reports are handled confidentially and promptly, we provide the contact information for the Peruvian government’s official channels: - Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations: Toll-free line 100. - Ministry of the Interior: Toll-free line 0800-2-3232. - Stations of the Peruvian National Police and offices of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
